After the release of SimplePack, RadioStar was designed and coded from the scratch, to be able to be expandable over the time. RadioStar has all the features a radio automation package needs, with an easy to use user interface, the least needed menus and buttons to complete a task and automated features to save time.

RadioStar can work perfectly in a local network environment to provide unlimited workstations to the production, marketing and sales departments.

Seven Different Databases
Jazler has divided all your audio material to six different databases. Each database for a different use.
Songs – Store all your music library.
Spots – Store and program all spots and commercials.
Jingles – Station jingles and ID’s.
Events – Miscelaneous audio material (like your music beds, program ID’s etc).
Sweepers – Jingles without music that overlap the songs while they are playing.
Voice Tracks – Add an external recorded file, or record with Jazler to use it playlists.

Advanced Automated Rotation Scheduling
The scheduler in RS1 is designed and based on the clock system, where you can create clocks and then program them what time to be active and play. A clock is a virtual playlist where you do not enter the exact song, but its category or properties
Example: Song(Hot Current) > Song(Current 1) > Jingle (MusicJingle) > Song (90′s) (Pop) > Jingle (Transition Slow) > Song (Slow)

Advanced Playlist Creation with Voice Tracks
RadioStar gives you the ability to manualy create playlists, create automated playlists based on a clock, preview where commercials will interupt your playlist in the on-air rotation, fully preview (audio) a playlist, edit start and end points of tracks specifically for a playlist without saving it in the database, add or record voicetracks and include them for the specific playlist.

SuperSearch Engine In The Studio
The supersearch engine gives you the ability to search for tracks in the database and returns to you results while you are typing. Supersearch also has the ability to search in the songs like a search machine, searching the whole database to find a matching result (Name, Title, Album).

QuickEdit Feature In Songs
Now you can edit the properties of songs without entering their analysis, quickly and easily from the database. Just click on the song, and change its properties from the menu that will pop-up.

Mass change of categories, properties, file locations
Now you can mass change lots of properties just by clicking on songs with either Ctrl or Shift. Then right click and select your action.

Powerful Audio Engine
A new playback engine is embended on RS1 by FireLight technologies. Hear crystal clear sound from all the popular file formats. Support almost all audio cards with either software or hardware mixing. The playback system also includes a basic audio compressor to have all your audio material at the right volume.

Advanced Spots Programming
The new spots programming interface of RS1 give you the ability to easily program different spots at different days and times very quick. It also gives you the ability to play random spots based on a list at specific times (mostly used for station ID’s). The reports tool of Jazler, can also print down a detailed report so you can give it back to your client or media shop. The spots management system also gives you the abilty to adjust when your spots package will start or end. You can also be notified if a specific package exceeds a maximum time to avoid a crowded and tiring commercial sequence.

Direct File Playback
The studio screen of Jazler has added a new tab, to be able to playback files directly from the hard disk, without the need to add them first to the database. This is a very useful feature for news-radios that need to play a report or recording, and they want to play it NOW. Just enter the folder to display and you have all the files directly in Jazler. You can also search between files and filter them based on the supersearch engine of RS1.

Instant Jingles
Just like the old Jazler (SimplePack), RS1 has its own Instant Jingles. The same quick and easy to use, plus a new feature, the Auto Gain. When Auto Gain is active, Jazler automatically reduces the volume of the song playing so the Instant Jingle can be heard clearly. The user also has the choice to send the audio of the Instant Jingle to a different sound card so he/she can play around with the volumes from the mixing console.

Satellite Rebroadcast Feature
Jazler has the ability to rebroadcast up to three different audio sources at programmed times. It also gives you the abilty to NOT play spots at a rebroadcasting session. With three easy steps just program Start, End Time and source.

RDS TEXT Broadcasting
Transmit different PSN texts each hour. Every PSN database can hold up to 100 eight-character words and can also include the current date, time and song playing. Jazler support most popular models for PSN broadcast.

INTERNET Text Upload
Jazler can upload via FTP, text or xml files that include the current song playing so you can show it off in your internet website. This feature is also used by some Mobile SMS companies to send sms to users with the song currently playing. RS1 supports uploading the file to two different servers if you want to have both services.

What are the changes/additions to V.2.6.x?

* Total change of the playback engine. FMOD is totally removed and replaced by BASS
* Added DSP plugin support. Users can add the DSP file in the plugins folder of the jazler installation, restart jazler and then enable the plugins in the playback properties of Jazler.
* Removed intellivolume. You can now use a plugin to do this, that will make a much better job.
* Added support of viewing the output on leds at the studio screen.
* Changed the rebroadcast engine too. Besides the internet stream that had problems after bad internet connectivity, you can also select the sound card & input channel for each rebroadcasting source. We also added settings for the input buffer and how much to wait in case of source silence.
* Changed the voice recorder. It is simpler than the one on the original RS2 but the older had many problems and did not work on lots of machines.
* Decreased by 60 times!! the the AUTOCUE function of songs. No “TIMEOUT” anymore. Every song import takes about 0.3 secs to be analyzed at sample level with great accuracy. There is also a changed screen of autocue settings to know better what you are doing.
* Added autocue everywhere (spots,jingles,direct files,events). You can also select if autocue can be done automaticaly, jazler will ask you first, or dont autocue in the General Properties > Performance settings.
* You can change the track position in the studio on the track bar. You can disable this though from General Properties > Performance settings.
* If you have multiple monitors, jazler studio will start at the screen where its shortcut is located.
* Backup properties were not saved properly, now they are saved properly in the registry.
* Rebroadcast closes now the internet stream when it does not need it. The silence detection algorithm is also improved.
* STUDIO: Added a new button in the playlist selector where you can REPLACE an existing inserted playlist. Before you could only add one.
* STUDIO/PLAYLISTER: Direct files browser showed only files that their extention (ex *.mp3) was in lower case. *.MP3 were not showed. What a stupid bug!
* Internet updater now can show (if you want) the title of a direct file/jingle or even spot.
* Added new rds keywords. Play around with: TIME! TIME2! DATE! DATE2! DATE3! DATE4! DAY1! MONTH1! YEAR! We also made some improvements on how a bigger than 8 characters word is split to be shown on the rds screen.
* Customization of the Custom songs export folder. We also added Custom2 that you can customize too and export a log for reconciliation
* Added an export database feature (Songs database) to text file. You can customize here the export format too.
* Added LINKED SONGS feature. You can find this in the song analysis card. You can specify to jazler, which songs also to block for playing when this songs airs. So if you have an original song, and a the same song as remix, you can block the remix song when the original airs. This is not vice versa. You must also specify on the remix to block the original.
* Added LINKED ARTISTS. Now you can block NSYNC if a Justin Timberlake song plays and vice versa. You can find the linked artists section in the analysis of an artist in the artists database.
* Added SONG TIME SLOTS. Now you can set a specific song if you want it to be selected in specific days/timeslots of the week. So you can for example block a specific song from playing in the morning of workdays..
* Fade in & outs are much smoother.
* Changed the abstract 1-15 setting of a fade-out to milliseconds. Now you can set between 100-5000ms (from cut to a 5sec slow fade out)
* Much much more that I dont remember right now, you can play arround the program to see the differences.
